“The success of Yoga does not lie in the ability to perform postures but in how it positively changes the way we live our life and our relationships.”
Lauren is a very experienced and patient instructor and therapist. Her teaching style is perfect for any class of students with varied yoga experience. She is very skilled in addressing problem areas/areas of focus if you bring them to her attention. Highly recommend!
I took Lauren's class and was put into a different world.
Lauren is a wonderful teacher.
She is clear, and inspirational. You can tell her passion is yoga and that she cares for all of her students
When I arrived to the yoga studio, I immediately felt at ease when Lauren warmly welcomed me to class...
She is patient, nurturing, gives clear and concise instructions and has an energy that creates a peaceful environment
Communication verifies her intuition and it is that kind and gentle quiet communication that makes her outstanding
Lauren is amazing and her classes have been the first ones where I truly feel like I can move at my own pace. I have never been more relaxed than at the end of her class, but I also feel the benefit overall.
Lauren is a very knowledgeable and helpful yoga instructor. She is calm and professional. She goes out of her way to help the student.
Yoga is an integral part of my life, and essential to my physical and mental health. I first started practicing yoga as a teenager as a part of my dance training. During my college years, I started practicing more consistently and began to really enjoy the mental and emotional benefits of yoga along with the physical benefits. When dancing, the focus is all on how things look, and that was often very hard for me, especially as a young woman. With yoga, I was able to enjoy moving my body while finding space for self-exploration.
I have always loved teaching, and hold a degree in secondary education. My yoga practice became more serious and a central part of my life when I started working at Yoga Yoga in Austin in 2012. Almost immediately, I knew I wanted to pursue training to become a yoga teacher. I completed my 200-hour training in 2013 and since then have also completed over 800 additional hours of advanced training in prenatal yoga, anatomy, breathing, meditation, and yoga therapy. I now educate other teachers in teacher training programs in San Antonio. I am a certified yoga therapist with The International Association of Yoga Therapists and a registered yoga teacher and continuing education provider with Yoga Alliance.
My teaching and my personal yoga practice are all about nourishment. I take care to meet myself and my students where they are every day and shape the practice around what would be most rejuvenating or soothing. I love what I do, and look forward to new discoveries every day.
